Preschool Room

3 - 5 years

Our pre-school room cater for children from 3 to 5 years. At this stage, children’s learning is more tailored as they are prepared for the move from Day nursery to school. We focus learning on the EYFS seven arears of learning which comprise of both Prime and Specific areas.

Children in the Pre-school room benefit from a wide range of resources and activities are often planned to challenge every child and give them the chance to develop while also having lots of fun.

In our pre-school room, we encourage our children to contribute to the running of the setting and self-care which would boost their confidence as they get involved with tidying up their toys after play, putting their food waste in the food bin after their meals, putting and taking their coats and shoes on and off.

When the time comes for our pre-schoolers to transition, we work closely with the schools creating a strong partnership and communication by providing a full term report which ensures a smooth transition.

Finally, as a way of sending forth our pre-schoolers, parents and close family members are invited to our graduation ceremony.

Sensory Room

Our sensory room provides the children we cater for that sense of calm and comfort as it helps them learn to self-regulate their behaviours which ultimately improves focus. With this in mind, they learn to manage their emotions in a controlled environment without feeling they are being isolated of punished.

The sensory room allows our children the freedom and autonomy to explore the environment themselves in their own time using all of their senses and most importantly, it provides a therapeutic environment with children with special educational need and autism.

Nap Area

Studies have shown that children who regularly get adequate amount of sleep have improved attention, behaviours, learning, memory and overall mental and physical health.

We understand that for a number of different reasons, our children may not be able to get the required amount of sleep at home hence our nap room provides a cosy atmosphere for them to have a nap or rest when they feel tired which we have found out helps them to be more productive.

The room temperature is constantly monitored and there would
always be a staff to monitor whenever a child is asleep.
